What to see in Bassano del Grappa

At the foot of Monte Grappa, along the Brenta river, Bassano is one of the simplest and most rewarding day trips from Vicenza: a compact historic centre, the famous bridge designed by Palladio, and the grappa-making tradition that made the town famous worldwide.

Ponte Vecchio (Ponte degli Alpini)

A covered wooden bridge designed by Andrea Palladio in 1569, rebuilt several times over the centuries and now a symbol of the town and of Italy's Alpini corps.

Piazza Garibaldi and the Torre Civica
